'Avatar' Re-Release Wows With $30 Million at Global Box Office.

Despite 13 years in the space of 13 years since "Avatar" first hit theatres, moviegoers are still amazed by the enthralling landscape of Pandora.

As a prelude to"The Way of Water," the sequel "The Way of Water," that will be released this December, Disney released James Cameron's first science fiction epic with promising results.

"We're talking about a film that's 13 years old, which people can watch at home," says Paul Dergarabedian, a senior media analyst at Comscore.

Regarding recent re-releases, purchases were up for "Avatar," which played at 1,980 theatres (mostly Imax) and came at 85% higher than the re-release of "Spider-Man: No Way Home."

After "Avatar" returned to theatres on one of the weekend days in September,

box-office fans are encouraged to watch Cameron's long-awaited and mega-budget sequel that will be released on large screens in December. 16.

The year "Avatar" debuted in 2009. It had an impressive but not record-breaking $77 million opening at the box office in the United States.
